It doesn’t matter how much time you put in at the gym, if you’re pumping your body full of processed foods, you’re not going to see the results you want. The same can be said for what you apply to your skin. For a bod that’s handsome inside and out – like our ambassador Tim Robards – nourish your body’s biggest organ with Handsome skincare, made using natural and organic ingredients that are good enough to eat.

Avocado

If you’re in the habit of smashing a smashed avo at your local café each weekend, then sure, home ownership may evade you (according to this guy), but take heart in the fact that you’re filling up on good fats and omega 3s. We’ve tapped into avocado’s nourishing qualities for our Facial Moisturiser.

Peppermint

Just as peppermint tea can quell a queasy stomach if you’ve overindulged, peppermint oil can calm inflammation and provide a cooling effect. It’s also known to relieve headaches, boost energy and stimulate blood flow to your scalp, which is why we’ve added it to our revitalising 2 in 1 Shampoo.

Rosemary

Along with invigorating peppermint, Handsome 2 in 1 Shampoo contains rosemary oil, which has anti-inflammatory, anti-fungal and antibacterial properties, so your locks will be as clean as a whistle.

Cacao

Chocolate gets a bad rap, but did you know raw cacao contains 40 times more antioxidants than blueberries and is the highest plant-based source of iron? While we’re not suggesting you annihilate a whole bag of Maltesers on the couch tonight, we do recommend you add a little cocoa butter to that handsome head of yours, in the form of our Facial Moisturiser.

Grapefruit

Granted, our favourite way to consume grapefruit is mixed with tequila in a Paloma cocktail, but this citrusy superstar is packed with vitamins, minerals and antioxidants, including potassium and lycopene. We’ve added a generous splash to our Hand Wash.

Orange

There’s a good reason why you reach for an orange wedge during half-time: this supercharged citrus provides an instant energy hit, without a subsequent sugar crash. The antioxidants and vitamin C in oranges are also great for your skin, fighting free radicals and the signs of ageing, which is why we’ve squeezed them into our Facial Wash and Shave Gel.

Lime

From caipirinhas to ceviche, lime adds its zesty aroma and flavour to a range of tasty drinks and dishes. These golf-ball sized green fruits are also heavy hitters in the vit C department, plus lime juice has been shown to rejuvenate the skin and prevent infections. That’s why organic lime is one of the key ingredients in our Hand Wash.

Sesame

Packed with magnesium, zinc, iron and fibre, sesame seeds may be tiny, but they pack a nutritional punch. We like to add them to salads and stir-fries – and we’ve also taken the liberty of adding sesame oil to our Facial Moisturiser, drawing on their high levels of zinc to strengthen the collagen in your skin and reduce the signs of premature ageing.
